Kwafubesi Game Lodge

In the un-spoilt reaches of the Southern African bushveld, cradled in the arms of the Waterberg Mountains, an ancient kingdom basks in the glorious African sun. Here in fields of wheat-coloured grass, on the slopes of rolling green hills, in the depths of shimmering silver pans on water, among the trees and prolific wildlife, is where you will find the essence of Africa in all its un-spoilt splendour.

A captivating tapestry of raw sounds, vibrant colours and earthy smells. A magic place where visitors experience a rare sense of freedom and gain renewed inspiration. This is Mabula Private Game Reserve and within it you will find Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp - Place of the Giant Eagle Owl. This intimate tented camp lies 8 kilometres away from the Main Mabula Game Lodge in the 12000 hectare Mabula Private Game Reserve and offers an unforgettable bush escape.

Five en-suite tents and a thatched central lapa are appointed on the tree line of an open plain, alongside several game paths leading to the Mabula Dam. Old lamps offer a romantic substitute for electricity, setting the mood for an authentic African Safari, perfect for a small executive meeting or a secluded rendezvous.

In this malaria-free reserve only two hours from Johannesburg, guests can experience exhilarating excursions in open Land Rovers, bush walks, thrilling hot-air balloon safaris and horse trails that bring guests with metres of animal in their natural habitat.
